VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Research Specialist

  • Research assistant with all stages of stress and anxiety research.

  • Focuses on normal and abnormal experiences of anxiety, worry, depression, and stress, with particular emphasis on explaining and predicting the co-occurrence of anxiety and mood disorders.

  • Participant recruitment and screening, data collection, data management and analysis, literature reviews, assisting with manuscript and grant preparation, and coordinating the work of undergraduate research assistants in the lab. 

Grant Proposal Specialist

  • Performs specialized duties related to pre-award grants administration, including providing pre-award support to Principal Investigators proposing for funding through a variety of federal agencies and non-federal organizations. 

  • Identifies grant opportunities and researches program guidelines for investigators. 

  • Provides analytical and financial support in proposal processing contract and grant administration, and budget development.

  • Acts as liaison between PI, Grants Administration Office and funding agency.

  • Involves activities associated with managing of research efforts by performing some or all of the following:

  • Coordinating and developing a final proposal product in accordance with institutional and agency. 

Social Media Communication Specialist

  • Develop weekly editorial calendars for existing social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Flickr.

  • Create and source content that increases followers, bolsters engagement, and fosters positive “chatter” about our cause.

  • Monitor activity, comments, reviews, etc. on all social media platforms on a daily basis and report back on findings weekly.

  • Explore and report back on new methods of engagement.
